(S.T.B., 1900), did graduate work in Europe at Halle and Berlin, and graduated from the Univ. of Chicago (M.A., 1910; Ph.D., 1913). Trever was professor of Greek at Lawrence College (1905-1916), and from 1916 until his death was professor of history at that school.
