Mercury is the innermost and smallest planet in the Solar System, orbiting the Sun once every 87.969 Earth days. The orbit of Mercury has the highest eccentricity of all the Solar System planets, and it has the smallest axial tilt. It completes three rotations about its axis for every two orbits. Mercury is bright when viewed from Earth, but is not easily seen because of its greatest angular separation from the Sun (28.3 ). Since Mercury is normally lost in the glare of the Sun, unless there is a solar eclipse it can be viewed only in morning or evening twilight. This book studies the planet Mercury including Mercury's moon, Beethoven, Debussy, Beagle Rupes, and Resolution Rupes.

Project Webster represents a new publishing paradigm, allowing disparate content sources to be curated into cohesive, relevant, and informative books. To date, this content has been curated from Wikipedia articles and images under Creative Commons licensing, although as Project Webster continues to increase in scope and dimension, more licensed and public domain content is being added. We believe books such as this represent a new and exciting lexicon in the sharing of human knowledge. Less
