This book is about a talented Ukrainian artist Valerie Bulat, about his painting, Church art, decorations and religious frescoes which he did in a cathedral of Ukraine. It is about how the development of an artist was happening, how his principles and taste was formatting.  It is about his outlook and some people who had a strong influence on his views and preferences. The book tells about a social life, people and events of Leningrad in 1980s -1990s.  The development of the young artist was happening in the communist's years of “stagnation" and in dashing 1990s, during “perestroika.”  Valery was greatly influenced by the city of Leningrad (St. Petersburg), where he lived at that time.  This elegance and the most western city of Russia created the spiritual attitude and polished character of Valeria.  But mostly, Valery worldview was formed under the inspiration of his first love and wife Elena, his muse, who helped and supported him for many years.
