Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. World War II sparked a surge in wartime technology on a global scale and in turn, that technology lent itself to advancements off the battlefield. The first digital electronic computer was invented in the 1940s and so was the microwave oven. Nuclear technology developed alongside radar and ballistic missile inventions. This book looks at the influential technology of the 1940s and how the decade paved the wave for future advancements.
