Defiance is a book based on an image I have been carrying around my head for five years. The image consists of man standing on an edge of a building looking down at the people all the way below. I cannot recognize the man as he is just a shadow but he is in despair and cries. When I first became this image I asked myself: "What should I do with it?" I have gotten over the years many wonderful ideas for books from dreams but this image was not something what came from me. I realized that this was the beginning of a book; for people who are looking for answers in their life. Based on this idea I asked myself what are my questions? How did I find the answer? What if I had decided to study something else or not to move at that time of my life, would things be better or worse? Did I have a choice after all? I am a very defiant person so the name of the book reflects that and when writing this book I wanted people to ask the same questions I had. I wanted them to reconsider their actions in certain situations in their life. I came up with 11 things I think all have to deal with sooner or later in their life. Maybe not exactly the way I wrote it down but still without exposing my story to much one has to make decisions in life and many of these can never be undone. Some may even be too late to change if at all. I want for sure to be able to reflect back to my life and say that at least half of it was good and not corrupted by evil deeds. I want to be saved from guilt and filled with love the day I die. When I consider this is possible for all of us even those who do not believe right now. This is the book for all those who are still deciding what to believe and who is their true King in life. If you are one of those or know some who are still undecided but does not want to be pushed to make a choice; well then this is exactly the right book to have and to read… Less
