A young atheist has a Near Death Experience and sees the inner fabric of life. He remembers things that he always knew, but forgot at birth; then struggles to engage life again because he cannot forget what he now remembers. He seeks a way forward and finds it in Christianity, then goes on to be a missionary in far away lands. There, he experiences life changing situations and deep crisis of faith. He compares these to doors that lead into new paradigms of faith, truth, and being. While Christianity remains his choice, he now sees its symbols and scriptures as pointing to something grater and more universal, something common to every human, regardless of religious beliefs or lack of them.
