James Bond has been listed as an enemy of the Soviet State and a death warrant has been issued against him. The attractive young cipher clerk, Corporal Tatiana Romanova, pretends to have fallen in love with Bond though she has in fact been sent to betray him. She seduces him with her obvious charms, and in addition promises to provide the British with the top-secret Spektor decoding device much coveted by MI6. Death and destruction loom, but somehow Bond and Tatiana survive--until Rosa Kleb appears with her poisoned-bladed footwear... will she prove to be their downfall?
