The Celebrate Recovery Participant’s Guides are essential tools for the personal recovery journey.  In the seven lessons in Guide 3: Getting Right with God, Yourself, and Others, you will move through principles 5-7 of the recovery process: 5   Openly examine and confess my faults to God, to myself, and to someone I trust. "Happy are the pure in heart" (Matthew 5:8). 6   Voluntarily submit to every change God wants to make in my life and humbly ask Him to remove my character defects. "Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires" (Matthew 5:6). 7   Evaluate all my relationships. Offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me and make amends for harm I've done to others, except when to do so would harm them or others. "Happy are the merciful" (Matthew 5:7). "Happy are the peacemakers" (Matthew 5:9). By working through the lessons and exercises found in each of the four Participant’s Guides you will begin to experience the true peace and serenity you have been seeking, restore and develop stronger relationships with others and with God, and find freedom from life's hurts, hang-ups, and habits.
