Are you worried about climate change?  Do you agree with the various solutions scientists have put forward to reverse global warming? If so, then you may be wrong.  This book investigates climate-change solutions from an engineering perspective.  Very often the science looks great, but the engineering is either impossible or very expensive.  The informal presentation juxtaposes practical energy-conservation ideas for your home or office with larger-scale solutions to global warming. You'll learn about geothermal, solar, nuclear, and other fossil-fuel alternatives.   WH Clark is a licensed Professional Engineer and the author of two McGraw-Hill textbooks, Retrofitting for Energy Conservation and Electrical Design Guide for Commercial Buildings. His book 1001 Energy Tips has just been released by Dorrance Publishing (6.18.2021). He has a BS in mechanical engineering, an MSE in aerospace, and almost a Ph.D. in mathematical physics. He's worked in building construction (schools and hospitals), exploration drilling for Exxon, nuclear power, and remodels houses in his free time.  He's a US Naval Academy alumni and a 100% disabled veteran.   Less
