Le talent de l'auteur y contribua sans doute pour une bonne part, mais la cause qu'elle plaidait, et les circonstances dans lesquelles elle la plaidait, pour une part plus grande encore Mme beecher-stowe soutenait la cause de la libert des noirs, esclaves sur le sol de la libre Am rique.
