1900. Byron is regarded as the ultimate Romantic and whose name has become synonymous with brooding passion. Although his private life was considered shocking, his poetry was immensely popular and influential, especially in Europe. Lord Byron's parting gift to his friend, Thomas Moore, was the publication rights to his autobiography. Moore, however, yielded to pressures from Lady Byron, and burned the autobiography. The biography is made quite interesting through the inclusion of large collections of Byron's letters and journals. This is Volume XIV. See other Byron works available from Kessinger Publishing.
