                                                In 1996, Mark Brunell became the first quarterback since Johnny Unitas in 1963 to lead the NFL in both passing yards (4,367) and rushing yards for a quarterback (396), serving notice that he was a significant threat as both a passer and a runner. He passed for 2,601 yards in 1998, bringing his career total to 12,512 yards. When he is not on the football field, Brunell is busy in the Jacksonville community for a variety of causes.
