Trying to Make Sense of LoveMixed signals, from both lovers and love itself; that's what inspired this poetry collection. The author portrays his mixed feelings about his love life and ex-lovers, and as a result, the poems are filled with the melancholy of a heart and mind wounded and warped by love. Mixed Signals is the third book in the "What Is Love?" poetry series and it is a 20-poem collection. The poems offer various expressions of the author's attempts to get a grip on matters of the heart, and some witty stanzas that portray deep issues of love and lessons from heartbreak. Some of the poems are addressed to the women in his past, as retrospective laments of sorts. Some of the poems address the confusion in his love life at the time; the fear of vulnerability and heartbreak, and also the lack of trust. There are rays of light escaping from some of the portrayals, but darkness eventually overwhelms them. Less
