Eva Harlowe has been playing by the rules. Having to step in and raise three sisters after the death of her parents doesn't leave much time for anything else. She's kept her head down and worked hard but now the last of her sisters is through college and she's starting to think that maybe it's her turn to have a life. When her secret crush, Finn Castro, is sent to the Saratoga Springs Preachers, where she's worked since she was eighteen, Eva is at first worried that Finn will catch on to her feelings and she's always had rules against dating baseball players. But she's planning to leave town and follow her photography dreams at the end of the season so maybe rules are meant to be broken. Maybe it's time for her to be bad. Finn Castro is a man with one thing on his mind, getting back to the New York Saints as fast as possible. He's determined to keep his nose clean and his feet on the ground while he's at the Preachers. All work. No play. He's turning over a new leaf. No more bad boy. But when he meets Eva, he's faced with an unexpected temptation. Dating a woman who's a fixture at the Preacher's is hardly the way to win friends or improve his reputation but when Eva proposes a strictly one season only fling, he really can't resist. Neither Eva or Finn are expecting their feelings to get out of control but their fling threatens to turn into something deeper. And when Eva's sister gets pregnant and wants to come home, Eva knows she'll have to leave behind her dreams stay and help her through. Which leaves her stuck in Saratoga Springs when Finn is headed back to the major league and everything he ever wanted. Except the woman who's made a play for his heart...
