The rationale for the Iraq War has been a contentious issue since the Bush administration began actively pressing for military intervention in Iraq in late 2001. The primary rationalization for the Iraq War was articulated by a joint resolution of the U.S. Congress known as the Iraq Resolution. Along with Iraq's alleged development of WMDs, another justification for invasion was the purported link between Saddam Hussein's government and terrorist organizations, in particular Al-Qaeda. This book studies the reasons cited by the United States' for Iraq's 2003 invasion including the Iraq disarmament crisis, Iraq Survey Group, Al-Anfal Campaign, and Iraq sanctions.
