Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Nazi social welfare programs focused on providing employment for German citizens and insuring a minimal living standard for German citizens. The programs heavily emphasised the idea of a national German community. To foster a feeling of community, the German people's labour and entertainment experiences-from festivals, to vacation trips and traveling cinemas-were all made a part of the "Strength through Joy" program. Education under the Nazi regime focused on racial biology, population policy, culture, geography and especially physical fitness. The Nazis opposed women's feminist movement and advocated a patriarchal society. They had elements which were supportive of animal rights, zoos and wildlife, and took several measures to ensure their protection. This book studies social welfare policy during Nazi Germany including Karl Brandt, anti-tobacco movement in Nazi Germany, Hanna Reitsch, and Friends of Nature. Project Webster represents a new publishing paradigm, allowing disparate content sources to be curated into cohesive, relevant, and informative books. To date, this content has been curated from Wikipedia articles and images under Creative Commons licensing, although as Project Webster continues to increase in scope and dimension, more licensed and public domain content is being added. We believe books such as this represent a new and exciting lexicon in the sharing of human knowledge. Less
