WRITING THIS BOOK OF POETRY HAS BEEN SUCH A LEARNING EXPERINCE. FROM BEING A FAN OF POETRY TO ACTUALLY WRITING MY FIRST POEM WHICH IS TITLED THE DANCE. I HAVE GROWN AS A POET EXPERIMENTING WITH DIFFERENT STLYES OF POEMS UNTIL I FOUND A STYLE THAT WAS COMPATIBLE TO MY WRITING. I AM COMPARED TO MYA OR ZORA NEAL HURSTON'S STYLE WHICH I ADMIT TO READING AND BEING INFLUENCED BY SUCH POWERFUL NOVELISTS WHO HAVE BLAZED A TRAIL THAT I HAVE FOLLOWED. I WILL EVOLVE AS I CONTINUE TO WRITE. EXPRESSING MY THOUGHTS HAS BEEN A PAINSTAKING TASK THAT HAS MADE ME RECALL MY CHILDHOOD AND EARLY MAN HOOD WHICH HAS BEEN A CHALLENGE TO OVER COME. Less
