Yves Saint Laurent was born in 1936 in Algeria. He is known in the fashion world for transforming male's wardrobe for women. He is well known for "Le Smoking" tuxedo jacket, see-through blouses, peasant blouses, bolero jackets, pantsuits, and smocks. He opened his own couture house in 1962 with his partner Pierre Berge. The Fashion house had several creative directors including Tom Ford and most recently Stefano Pilati. The house was sold to Sanofi and the Gucci Group. Saint Laurent died in 2008 of brain cancer. The book talks about the his life, the creation of fashion house, his creations, and his muses.
