A tenuous treaty signed by two bitter combatants, the Ivarian Sovereignty and the Galactic Alliance, ensures a fragile peace between them, but sinister forces are working to bring about another war. The Alliance government assigns the military arm to maintain this aco-existence, a and James Quincannon, captain of the Titaness, the flagship of the new fleet, must enforce it peacefully, if possible. Joined by his devoted friend Zenon as exec, they must patrol the territory, looking for space pirates. After an aengagementa with some, Quinncannon attempts to pilot a damaged cruiser to safety. He is forced to crash onto an undiscovered planet that suddenly appears before him. He soon learns that he is mistaken for a mythical savior sent to help the planet.
