Integrative thinking, as explained in the Collaborative Integration Paradigm, involves utilizing diverse ideas, models and approaches to and create innovative outcomes. The Collaborative Integration Paradigm offers scholars and practitioners an emerging theory that can be used to explore and explain the intricacies of the collaboration process. It offers practitioners models for complex multi-player or interdisciplinary collaborations they can adapt given varied situational needs and constraints. In this book the Paradigm is applied in an environmental context.
