Exciting story of Jamie a young boy in the Scottish highlands is teamed up with a misfit red coated greyhound. The partnership of boy and dog flourishes and they are introduced to greyhound competitons. Bad guys have stolen a champion to sire their own dogs. The bad guys hope to make a fortune from the winnings of their dogs but clever manipultion of choosing races far apart means that Jamie's dog and the Bad guys' dogs do not meet before the Greyhound Derby which is the most prestigious race in the greyhound calendar.
