Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Eating disorders are a group of conditions characterized by abnormal eating habits that may involve either insufficient or excessive food intake to the detriment of an individual's physical and emotional health, binge eating disorder, bulimia nervosa, anorexia nervosa being the most common specific forms in the United States. Though primarily thought of as affecting females (an estimated 5-10 million being affected in the U.S.), eating disorders affect males as well (an estimated 1 million U.S. males being affected). The book reviews the types of treatments for eating disorders including cognitive behavioral therapy, family therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, music and art therapies, and self-help. Project Webster represents a new publishing paradigm, allowing disparate content sources to be curated into cohesive, relevant, and informative books. To date, this content has been curated from Wikipedia articles and images under Creative Commons licensing, although as Project Webster continues to increase in scope and dimension, more licensed and public domain content is being added. We believe books such as this represent a new and exciting lexicon in the sharing of human knowledge.
