Girl meets boy. Girl looses boy. Boy tries to kill girl... Dez Cross has problems. At almost eighteen, she's on the verge of losing her mind thanks to the drug Denazen used to enhance her abilities. Her half-sister is fighting for the wrong side and is determined to see her squirm. And Kale is back at Denazen, suffering in ways Dez doesn't want to face. Things can't get any worse.
