IntroductionChallenges have been part of human existence since the fall of man, and are one of the important ways by which our humanity is defined. For most people, challenges are synonymous with suffering; an unwelcome condition, with negative connotations. They are those parts of life that no one wishes to experience; unpleasant and often devastating. This book is aimed at the Christian man or woman asking, "Where is God in all of this?"We have all experienced challenges in different forms at various times. We are now in the darkest days of the history of this planet when decadence and disaster constantly threaten to destroy the world. Consequently, many question the existence of God. If He does exist, why does He allow us to suffer?At some point in their Spiritual life, almost all Christians will find themselves asking, "Why me? Why has God abandoned me? Does He really care? Does He understand what I am going through? If He does, why has He allowed me to be afflicted beyond measure? All I can feel is anguish and torment of my soul. Could this be the consequence of my actions? If not, then what is the cause of all my troubles? Can anything good come out of this experience?"Does this remind you of any experience you have faced at some time? It is really difficult when we feel powerless in the face of overwhelming odds. Challenges did not exist when God created the world; everything was perfect. God made man and gave him dominion to rule over all the works of His hands, and the earth was a peaceful place. It was the will and purpose of God for mankind to enjoy the earth without pain. Unfortunately, this did not last long. Man chose to relinquish his position to Satan and abandon the way of God. Challenges arose as a consequence of man's disobedience. Most of the challenges we go through in life are a result of two things. The first is sin, which is our choice when responding to temptations and trials. The second is opposition because we are followers of Jesus Christ. F
