{|Velvet Darkness They Fear|} certainly has a distinctive sound, with {|Theatre of Tragedy's|} plodding goth-metal backing the almost death-metal rasp of {|Raymond Rohonyi|} and the feather-light {|Liv Kristine Espenas|}. However, the long songs tend to ramble a bit, and truth be told, neither vocalist seems especially powerful.
