This is the sequel to "A Quiet Neighborhood." A birthday horseback ride brings pain and tragedy to Connie Walton, daughter of Harry and Ethelwyn Walton. To help Connie recover from her crippling injury, Harry takes his family to a parish in Kilkhaven, a town on the northern seacoast of Cornwall. Connie's oldest sister, Wynnie, faces her own trials as she struggles with the darker side of her personality and her desire to succeed as an artist. She meets a kindred spirit in Charles Percivale - honest doubter, professional painter, and attentive visitor. Less
