Billy Hobbs is a successful dentist and a devout family manliving a good life in the suburbs of Denver Colorado. All iswell until a semi-tractor trailer loses control on a patch ofblack ice, ending the beating hearts of Laura, Molly and Mandy Hobbs,Billy's wife and two daughters. His heart is shattered. He is alone andpractically inconsolable. His life begins to spin out of control.During his darkest hours, he fi nds encouraging notes and mysteriousbottles of blue nectar that contain remedial powers. He soon learns thatan entity called 'Fate' controls dominion beyond the comprehensionof mankind. Billy struggles with the plausibility of 'Fate' but begins toallow acceptance when a phenomenon begins to evolve that no personon earth has ever experienced.For closure, Billy seeks an encounter with the semi driver, but isintercepted by a mugger who ultimately dies from the confrontation.Billy undergoes vigilante and murder charges.Alas, Billy's new friends, the Johnsons, begin theirown detective work and contrive a plan to unearththe truth. The wheels of justice move forward andBilly is acquitted of all charges brought againsthim. His name is finally cleared which propelshis objective to a reassuring path and to a new, yetfamiliar world as promised by 'Fate.'
