Deception, lies and corruption are at the centre of this novel about two men looking to leave a mark on the lucrative world of football. Livio Almeida is a young man from a small town who has his eyes set on getting to the most powerful position in sport; chairman. Tomás Oliveira is a veteran club manager with a winning pedigree whose biggest challenge led to his biggest failure. 

Together, these men will follow different paths to try and bring success to a dwindling club in northern Portugal. Their actions reap success, but as with anything worthwhile, come at a high cost. Broken relationships and fragmented trust are the price each must pay to forge an everlasting legacy.
