This is a story about the American frontier seen through the eyes of a young girl, Rebecca Harding or 'Dancing-Wind', as she is known by her Cheyenne family. She is born into two races of people conflicting over what had belonged to her beloved Cheyenne people for hundreds of generations.Her entire life had been planned, or so she believed, until her father altered the course of her life.
