Set in beautiiful Alabama, In 1863, The Bountiful Lady is lost in the Gulf Waters with it's entire crew and some treasure belonging to the Knights of The Golden Circle.In 2013, the town of Oak Tree and Dolphins Cove are slowly dying due to the lack of a large cash infusion and young people. The shrimping industry is trying to recover from the recent largest oil spill in history. David's shrimping boat is failing. He has no money to make the necessary repairs. On taking it out one night on the Gulf waters it's nets are caught on something and cannot be released. After spending a lone drunken night on board, David dives into the waters to see if it is possible to release his net.. Dolphins guide him to a wreck and a jar full of treasure.Morgan a historian working in a museaum in New York, leaves after a failed eight year relationship and moves to Oak Tree town to look after her ailing grandfather. Working as a waitress, she meets David ,a reclusive man.The finding of treasure brings John Standing, an entrapenure to OakTree town. The three are determined to see if there is anymore treasure on the wreck and if it is possible to bring the wreck up from the bottom of the Gulf.Jesse James is part of the Knights of the Golden Circle, along with General Robert E. Lee, George Stith, James Mason and others. Jesse on leaving a meeting is chased by a possee and leads them away from the meeting he attended and arrives on the Bon Secour River to Coopers Landing and Annie. Their love story becomes legendary and is retold through the years.Attempted theft, the near killing of a beloved grandfather and a spectacular boat chase across the Gulf into the Inter-Costal waterway with a firey explosion, melds this novel into a historical and modern day part fact and mostly fictional tale with a ghostly wedding
