In many ways, this book is a love story, a story of love between a man and his family and between a man and his God. Charles Gebert was a gifted prophet, dynamic evangelist and trusted pastor. He also was a man who adored his wife, Carol, and daughters, Sarah and Rebecca. I had known the Geberts over twenty years at the time of his death. His life celebrated the magnificence of God's love for all humanity. He never wavered from the belief that every human being counted in God's eyes. He held firm to his belief even in the face of devastating circumstances in his personal life. He was a winner in every sense of the word and his story is one of ultimate triumph. It is my prayer that Charles' story will inspire everyone who reads it to touch the winner inside themselves.
