Statistics show that social media is being used by a large majority of college students. This technological advent brings with it questions about how social media is affecting the relationships of those who use it. This is especially true for the Church and Christian institutions that put a high value on relationships. This study asked 3,645 Christian college and seminary students from 40 different schools in North America about their social media use and how they perceived social media was affecting their biblical interpersonal relationships.
