A young man, named Pan stumbles upon a nymph, named Willow, the maiden of Western Creek and becomes enthralled by her beauty and voice. Willow and Pan are curious of one another in their meetings. A love transpires between them. Pan comes to Willow a few times and wants to claim her as his own, yet each time she rejects him, for she can't leave Western Creek. Willow longs for the outside world and to be with Pan. He wishes to be with Willow.
