Picking up where the Guns of Powder River left off, Britt and Doc are now in California and on their way to visit Britt's father, retired U.S. Marshall Dan Mac Masters. But in the nearby mountains, two wily prospectors with gold fever get into trouble when the infamous outlaw Angel Garret and his gang of thieves attempt to steal the gold.
