He Renyi is a Silicon Valley software engineer who went to China to find out the reason behind the airplane disaster that killed Lin Biao, Mao's successor. A fortuitous event brought Renyi and two of Lin Biao's grandnephews together. The three amateur detectives hit it off right away. With much efforts and lots of luck, they acquired a copy of the cockpit voice tape. Overnight, they also became fugitives with Chinese police on their tails. When Renyi's life was in danger, the one person who dared to come forward to offer help was none other than the wife of the police chief! When all hope seemed lost and Renyi was about to abandon his mission, a voice came to Renyi's ear. That voice triggered a much larger battle across China's vast country. The amateur detective would race with the police across the Yangtze River in heavy storms, escape a manhunt that spanned over a thousand miles, and fly under the radar in China's sky just as Lin Biao's pilot did over 40 years ago. Would Renyi finally succeed? How did Lin Biao's plane get in to Mongolia? What caused the air disaster? Read and find out! Less
